About
Cheryl Williams Levey has worked in the international informatics field for over 20 years. She recognizes that everything requires data and the ability to handle it. Even in design and writing, her projects tend to require lots of "behind-the-scenes" work. For example, each event to plan requires tasks such as (1) correspondence with colleagues around the world and a way to track the correspondence; (2) a system for keeping track of inputs such as abstract, bio, and paper submissions, as well as registrations; (3) promotional and informational materials such as websites, circulars, brochures, and flyers; and all other aspects of the planning process. Her experience is from employment, contracts, and freelance opportunities with federal agencies, international organizations, and private sector companies. Cheryl has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Maryland University College and continues to learn as new technoloiges are introduced. She recognizes that no one can know everything and, for certain projects, she brings in other independent professionals with specialized expertise on an as-needed basis. With the Information Revolution and the ease with which data and information can be disseminated, Cheryl is at the forefront of the development of standards and procedures for the sharing and dissemination of scientific and technological data and information. She would be delighted to assist your organization with your data and information needs.
